Vanessa Trinh

Vanessa Trinh is currently a Vacation Data Scientist at Rio Tinto, having started in November 2023. In addition to this role, Vanessa serves as Treasurer for the Business Analytics Networking Association and is a Treasury Sub-Executive for UQ Ladies in Technology since October 2023 and July 2023, respectively. Previously, Vanessa worked as an Undergraduate Transport Analyst at Transurban from December 2022 and also held a position as a Team Member at Kmart Australia Limited until June 2023. Vanessa notably contributed to a project at Transurban in mid-2022, leading to the Transurban Project Prize. Academically, Vanessa is pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce/Science with a focus on Business Analytics, Computer Science, and Data Science at The University of Queensland from 2022 to 2025, building on prior studies in a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/Commerce from the same institution. The educational journey includes obtaining the Queensland Certificate of Education from Kelvin Grove State College in 2020.
