Gene DeRose

co-founder, vice chairman at Ripple Street

Gene DeRose has extensive experience in the tech industry, having held a variety of roles since 1999. Gene began their career as Chairman of MOUSE in 1999, and then served as President and COO and Vice Chairman of Jupiter Media Metrix in 2000. In 2005, they co-founded House Party Inc., where they served as Chairman, CEO, and Co-Founder until 2009. From 2009 to 2018, they were co-founder, vice chairman of Ripple Street Inc. During this time they also co-founded 1 World Venture Partners in 2014, where they served as Co-Founder and Managing Director until 2018. Gene then served as Managing Director at Bootstrap Media from 2018 to 2021. Since 2021, they have been SVP Global Business Development at Turbotic, and also serves as Chairman of Opengate, Inc. In addition, they are Co-Host and Co-Creator of the weekly podcast on tech, FUTURE FORWARD.

Gene DeRose attended Irvington High School from 1978 to 1981, then Boston University from 1981 to 1982, and finally University of Virginia from 1983 to 1986, where they earned a BA in English Literature and History.
