Yisroel Brumer has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Yisroel currently serves as the President of Red Cell Partners, where they have been since April 2022. Prior to this role, they were a Co-Founder and Partner at the same company from September 2020 to April 2022.
Apart from Red Cell Partners, Brumer is also the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of DEFCON AI, a position they have held since February 2022.
In addition, Brumer has co-founded and held various leadership roles at Zephyr AI. From January 2022 to the present, they have been the Co-Founder and Executive Vice Chairman of the company. Prior to this role, they were the Co-Founder and CEO from September 2020 to January 2022.
Before their involvement in the AI and technology sectors, Brumer held several positions at the Office of the Secretary of Defense. Yisroel served as the Acting Director and/or Principal Deputy Director of OSD/CAPE from April 2018 to September 2020. Yisroel also held the position of Deputy Director (Analysis and Innovation) from April 2017 to April 2018.
Brumer's work at the Office of the Secretary of Defense also included roles such as Director of Strategic, Defensive, and Space Programs from February 2012 to April 2017, Director of Program Analysis Division from December 2011 to February 2012, and Operations Research Analyst from November 2005 to December 2011.
Furthermore, Brumer has experience working at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security as an AAAS Homeland Security Fellow from September 2004 to November 2005.
Before their government roles, Brumer pursued their education and research at Harvard University. Yisroel served as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist from June 2003 to September 2004 and as a Graduate Student Researcher from September 1999 to May 2003.
Yisroel Brumer's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology from the University of Toronto, which they obtained from 1995 to 1999. Yisroel then pursued a Master's degree in Chemistry at Harvard University from 1999 to 2001. Following that, they continued their studies at Harvard and completed a Ph.D. in Chemical Physics from 1999 to 2003.
