Alex Cates has seven years of professional experience in data science and related fields. In 2022, they began working as a Data Scientist for RippleWorx. From 2015 to 2022, they worked as a Data Scientist and Data Quality/Research Specialist Intern for Westat. During their time at Westat, they used PostgreSQL to perform database research and solve data quality related problems, created interactive html reports/models/visualization tools using R, and developed a program that automated deliverable report-table generation using PL/pgSQL. From 2014 to 2015, they worked as a Retail Manager/Technician for SHUX Mobile Repairs, where they repaired iPhones, iPads, and Samsung Galaxies and provided operational, procedural, and repair training for new employees. In 2013, they worked as a Call Center Supervisor for iDeviceMD.
