Behrooz Keshavarzi

Behrooz Keshavarzi has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies.

Their most recent position is as a Software Engineer at RISA Tech, Inc., where they have been working since January 2021.

Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Staff Engineer at Schnabel Engineering from November 2019 to January 2021.

From January 2014 to November 2019, Behrooz worked at North Carolina State University. During their time there, they held two roles: Graduate Research Assistant and Software Developer.

Before their time at North Carolina State University, Behrooz worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Sharif University of Technology from September 2009 to September 2012.

Their earliest work experience was as a Structural Engineer at Pardis Rooz Consulting Inc. from September 2008 to September 2009.

Behrooz Keshavarzi completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering at Amirkabir University of Technology - Tehran Polytechnic from 2005 to 2008. Behrooz then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering at Sharif University of Technology from 2009 to 2012. Behrooz further continued their education and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University, completing their studies from 2014 to 2019.

In terms of certifications, Behrooz obtained the Professional Engineer (PE) certification from the NCEES in October 2020. Behrooz also completed various online courses and certifications, including the Data Science BootCamp from NYC Data Science Academy in November 2022, Learning Cloud Computing: Core Concepts, and Programming Foundations: Algorithms from LinkedIn in May 2022. Moreover, they acquired certifications in Regression Models, Reproducible Research, Statistical Inference, Getting and Cleaning Data, R Programming, and The Data Scientist's Toolbox, which were obtained through Coursera from December 2019 to January 2020. Additionally, they completed courses in Intermediate Python for Data Science, Intermediate SQL, Introduction to SQL for Data Science, and Introduction to Python for Data Science from DataCamp, all of which were completed by September 2019. Lastly, Behrooz acquired proficiency in Learning C++ Pointers from LinkedIn in May 2017 and Fundamental in Engineering from the NCEES in August 2015.
