Jamey Helms

Jamey Helms has over 20 years of work experience, starting in 2002 as an IT Intern at Heald College. They then worked as a Programmer at Miles Consulting Corp from 2003 to 2005. In 2004, Jamey joined American Web Services as an Application Developer, where they worked on various projects. From 2007 to 2010, Jamey worked as a Programmer at NHXS, where they achieved significant speed improvements and created web services.

In 2010, Jamey became a Software Development Consultant at Hewlett-Packard, leading projects and coordinating teams globally. From 2011 to 2014, Jamey held the position of Software Developer/Team Lead/Manager at Onyxtek Inc., leading teams and building solutions for clients.

From 2014 to 2016, Jamey worked as a Senior Software Developer at Liberty Home Equity Solutions, where they developed, improved, and maintained software. In 2016, Jamey joined WorldPantry.com as a Senior Software Engineer, handling both front-end and back-end roles for an e-commerce company.

From 2020 to 2021, Jamey worked at Amazon as an Application Support Engineer, supporting big data applications and solving technical challenges. Currently, Jamey is a Senior Software Developer at RISA Tech, Inc., where they have held various positions, including Principal Software Developer.

Jamey Helms has a diverse education history. From 2020 to 2023, they attended San Francisco State University and pursued a Master's degree in Statistical Data Science. Prior to this, from 2003 to 2005, Jamey completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Information Technology at the University of Phoenix. Before their bachelor's degree, they obtained an Associate's degree in Computer Technology/Computer Systems Technology from Heald College in the academic year 2002-2003. Jamey's educational journey started with their high school education at Goose Creek High School, where they received their High School Diploma from 1992 to 1995.

In addition to their formal education, Jamey also holds various certifications. In October 2019, they completed the "Introduction to Computer Science and Programming Using Python" course from edX. Around the same time, in September 2019, they obtained certifications in "Business Applications of Hypothesis Testing and Confidence Interval Estimation" and "Linear Regression for Business Statistics" from Coursera. In August 2019, they completed the "Basic Data Descriptors, Statistical Distributions, and Application to Business Decisions" course from Coursera. Jamey also has a proficiency in data analysis using Excel, as they completed the "Introduction to Data Analysis Using Excel" course from Coursera in August 2019. Finally, in January 2004, Jamey obtained a certification as a "Microsoft Certified Application Developer" from Microsoft, and in May 2003, they obtained the "Microsoft Certified Professional" certification.
