Knute Lingaard is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in performance modeling and architecture within the semiconductor industry. Currently serving as Sr. Principal Engineer & Analysis Lead at MIPS since January 2024, Lingaard also holds the position of Vice-Chair for the RISC-V Performance Modelling Special Interest Group at RISC-V International since February 2022. Previously, Lingaard was a Principal Engineer at SiFive from January 2020 to December 2023 and held various leadership roles at Samsung SARC/ACL, including Director of GPU Performance and Functional Modeling. Lingaard’s earlier career includes significant contributions at Freescale Semiconductor and Motorola, along with experience as a software engineer at Texas Instruments/Raytheon Defense Systems and other organizations. Lingaard completed a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Florida in 1998.
