Mawra Tahreem

Mawra Tahreem is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in editorial assistance, curatorial research, and artistic creation. Currently serving as an Editorial Assistant for the Journal of Illustration at Intellect Books since September 2024, Mawra also holds positions as a Curatorial Research Assistant at RISD Museum and Founder of Gallery 31. Mawra has a robust academic background, pursuing a Master of Fine Arts degree at the Rhode Island School of Design. Previous roles include Graduate Teaching Assistant, Teaching Assistant at RISD Continuing Education, and Research Associate with Rogers Kolachi Khan and Associates on a project with the World Monuments Fund. Earlier experience as a Digital Artist at Shahnawaz Associates involved creating extensive digital artwork and developing a unique Arabic font and calligraphy style. Mawra's education includes an MPhil in Cultural Studies and a BFA in Textile Design, showcasing a strong foundation in both artistic and scholarly pursuits.
