Jesper Svenningsen is a seasoned professional in the field of art history, currently serving as a Research Fellow at SMK – Statens Museum for Kunst since September 2012, with a focus on the history of art collecting in Denmark from 1690 to 1840. Prior to this role, Jesper served as a Research and Curatorial Assistant at The Hirschsprung Collection from November 2006 to August 2012, and as a Research Assistant at the Society for Danish Language and Literature from October 2005 to June 2006. Jesper holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Art History from Aarhus University, obtained between 2012 and 2015, as well as a Master’s degree (mag.art) and a Bachelor's degree in Art History from the University of Copenhagen, completed in 2010 and 2003 respectively.
