Mike Baliman has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Mike is also a NED/Advisory Director Mentor at Connectd and the Founder and Business Mentor at Rise, created by Barclays - the Home of FinTech.

In addition, Mike Baliman is the Founder and Host of London Fintech Podcast, where they advise and works with financial services firms on digital transformation. Mike has worked with both incumbents and disruptors in the industry. Mike has also authored a book called "The Realpolitik Of The Unlisted Company Board: Making Your Board An Engine Of Growth", which explores the role and importance of boards in companies.

Before their current roles, Mike Baliman worked as an entrepreneur and consultant at Penates Risk Ltd, where they focused on governance, management, strategy, risk, regulation, business development, and IT. Mike has also served as a Non-Executive Director at RPT One Ltd/Paysley Tyler Limited.

Earlier in their career, Mike Baliman worked at Kleinwort Benson, where they held various positions including Global Head of Risk, Global Head of Fixed Interest Fund Management, and Fund Manager. Mike was one of the pioneers of global risk management in the city.

Prior to that, they started their career as a Software Engineer at Praxis Systems Limited, where they worked on operating systems, compilers, and communications.
