Rick Pastoor has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Rick is currently a Co-Founder at Rise Technologies since May 2021. Prior to this, they were the Owner of GRIP, a startup backed by The New York Times and Axel Springer, where they worked as an engineer and later became the Head of Product. Rick was responsible for managing product launches and leading a team of engineers and designers. Before that, Rick was at Blendle from 2014 to 2019, where they held the position of Head of Product and also worked as a Frontend Developer. Rick started their career as the Owner of Wrep, a company they co-founded in 2007, specializing in creating custom solutions for various companies. Rick also gained experience through traineeships at Virtual Affairs, where they worked on building a Silverlight dashboard and a data miner for gathering internet data. Rick also completed a traineeship at Triangle Studios, where they worked on game porting and testing designs.

Rick Pastoor obtained a Bachelor of ICT degree from Windesheim from 2005 to 2010. Prior to that, they completed their HAVO degree in Math, Physics, Information Sciences, and Economics at Greijdanus College Zwolle from 2000 to 2005. Additionally, they obtained a certification as a Certified Scrum Product Owner from Scrum Alliance in April 2015.
