Katherin Chi

Assistant Vice President of Communications and Development at RISE INDY

Katherin Chi has an extensive work history, starting in 2003 as an Intern at Hirons. Katherin then worked as a Manager at Shanghai Lil Restaurant from December 2003 to March 2009. In 2007, they worked as a Research Analyst at GEI, Inc. for a few months. Katherin joined Kiwanis International in March 2009, initially as a Global Services Coordinator and later as a Global Communications Specialist until May 2016. Katherin briefly worked as a Marketing Project Contractor at OneAmerica from February 2017 to June 2017. In July 2017, Katherin returned to Kiwanis International as a Strategic Communications Executive, specializing in advisory services and process improvement. From February 2018 to April 2022, they served as the Director of Communications at Kiwanis International and also took on interim Chief Communications Officer responsibilities. Most recently, Katherin worked at RISE INDY from April 2022, first as the Senior Director of Development and Operations and currently as the Assistant Vice President of Communications and Development, a role they still hold.

Katherin Chi has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science and Spanish from Indiana University Bloomington. Katherin has also obtained a Certificate in Business Chinese from Shenzhen University. Additionally, they hold a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education, which they obtained in May 2021.
