Cory Gaber

Head of Sales at Rise Vision

Cory Gaber is the current head of sales at Rise Vision. Cory started their career at D2L in January 2004 and held the position of Senior Manager, Sales until March 2022. Cory was responsible for coaching and mentoring a team of six highly motivated sales executives to meet or exceed team territory objectives. In FY22, Cory led their team to 200% annualized quota achievement with 99% client revenue retention result. In FY21, Cory achieved Sales Presidents Club with 162% annualized team quota achievement and 99% client revenue retention.

Cory's responsibilities included providing accurate weekly forecast updates to senior sales leadership, helping build account & territory plans to ensure high product adoption/retention and successful customer renewals, and collaborating with other internal departments (marketing, product, services, sales ops, enablement, solution engineering) on department projects and initiatives. Cory also held quarterly development meetings with each rep to identify skill gaps and promote career progression.

Cory's projects included Fiscal Year Planning, Identifying new sales opportunities through new markets & product/service bundles, Developing new lead program (Customer Success), Cross Department PD days (Customer Success/Solution Engineering), HigherEd Learning Academy for active learning, Promoting client success quotes and testimonials, Partnering with customer success to minimize account churn, Minimizing barriers to selling, and Active hiring with team expansion.

Cory Gaber's educational career includes completing an Honours Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Wilfrid Laurier University, as well as a General Bachelor of Science in Biology from the same school. Cory has also received certification from the Smith School of Business at Queen's University in the Queen's Foundations of Sales Leadership Program, as well as certification from SSCA, Inc. in the Leadership Process - Motivating Dialog course. Additionally, Wiley has certified Cory in their DiSC Workplace Profile Training, and Pavilion has certified Cory in their Social Selling Course.

They are on a team with Dawood Shiaa - Head of Product, Ezequiel Conte - Head of Engineering, and Debbie Barrafato - COO. and Connie Zhao - Senior Accountant reports to Cory Gaber. Cory Gaber reports to Brian Loosbrock, CEO.
