Akira Carr

Akira Carr is an experienced project developer with a strong background in youth programming and education. Currently serving at RiseBoro Community Partnership since April 2021, Akira has designed a website for the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP), developed curriculum, and led work readiness training. Prior positions include Assistant Director of Programming at Boys & Girls Club, where Akira managed staff and program operations, and Director of Youth Enrichment at Young Harlem Inc., overseeing program development for an all-girls group. Additional experience includes teaching, tutoring, and multimedia roles in various organizations. Akira holds a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from Johnson C. Smith University and is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity at Chicago Theological Seminary.
