Joanna Rodriguez, MBA, SHRM-SCP, has a wealth of experience in human resources and has held various roles throughout their career. Joanna is currently working as a Human Resources Business Partner at Riskified, starting in 2022. Prior to that, they served as an Advisory Network Member at ChangeEngine, where they collaborated with other board members to align HR strategies with overall organizational goals and stayed up-to-date on HR trends.

From 2021 to 2022, Joanna worked as the Director of People Operations at Avo, a fast-growing start-up. In this role, they led the US People team, built a high-performing HR team, and implemented recruitment strategies to attract top talent. Joanna also spearheaded various projects, such as creating handbooks, HR policies, and procedures, as well as launching employee engagement initiatives.

Before Avo, Joanna served as a Human Resources Business Partner at WIN Waste Innovations from 2020 to 2021. In this capacity, they partnered with Vice Presidents of Operations, led labor negotiations, and managed the deunionization process for several sites.

From 2018 to 2020, Joanna worked as a Senior HRBP at FreshDirect, collaborating with the Operations Leadership Team to enhance employee performance and creating action plans for leadership development. Prior to FreshDirect, they were an HR Associate Manager and Senior HR Rep at PepsiCo, providing support to different groups and leading succession planning.

Joanna's earlier experience includes roles as a Human Resource Specialist at Unilever and ConAgra Foods, where they handled employee relations, trained employees on HR systems, and resolved issues. Joanna also worked as a Childcare Supervisor/Office Worker at River Valley Literacy Councils.

Joanna Rodriguez holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration from the University of Saint Mary. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Business Administration and Management from Arkansas Tech University. Joanna also holds an Associate's degree from Arkansas Tech University with a concentration in World Lang Spanish.
