Americas Operations Manager at Riskline

Eeva Ruuska has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Eeva started their career as a Junior Evaluation Expert at FCG International/MFA Finland, where they conducted the mid-term evaluation of a rural development project in Mozambique. Eeva then worked as a Research Assistant at Australian National University and Wageningen University, where they conducted a desk study on urban climate governance in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Moving on, Eeva joined Tekio Pensamiento Estratégico as a Research Consultant, where they conducted desk-studies and mapping projects related to the creative economy sector in Mexico and the mining sector in Mexico and Latin America. Eeva also worked as a Research Consultant at Tekio Pensamiento Estratégico in collaboration with Root Capital, where they conducted research on rural youth and productive opportunities in Mexico and Latin America.

Eeva's research experience continued as they joined Tekio, Agencia de Inteligencia Colectiva, as a Research Consultant. Here, they conducted a desk-study to benchmark market guarantee systems in Mexico and internationally. Eeva also conducted research on the funding agency agendas on environmental issues in Mexico and globally.

In 2020, Eeva worked as a Research Consultant at Evidencity, Inc, and contributed to research projects. Eeva then joined Riskline as a Political and Security Risk Analyst, where they monitored and interpreted political and security developments worldwide, providing analysis for country- and city-specific security threats.

Later, they advanced to the role of Americas Operations Manager at Riskline, leading a regional team of analysts and overseeing the monitoring and analysis of political, security, and COVID-19-related developments. Eeva also conducted bespoke analysis reports according to client requirements.

Overall, Eeva Ruuska has gained extensive research, analysis, and management experience in various sectors and organizations throughout their career.

Eeva Ruuska completed their education with a Master's Degree in Development Geography from the University of Helsinki, from 2009 to 2012. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Regional studies from the same university between 2004 and 2009. In 2007-2008, they also had the opportunity to participate in an exchange program at Università degli Studi di Padova, focusing on Geography and International Development.
