Carl Palmer

Carl Palmer has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Carl currently works as a Security Analyst at Riskonnect, Inc. starting in 2022. Prior to that, they served as a Sr. Cybersecurity Analyst and TIER III SOC Analyst at Crown Castle from 2015 to 2022. From 2013 to 2015, they worked as a System Administrator at Lightower Fiber Networks.

Before that, they held various positions at Sunovion Pharmaceuticals Inc. including Windows Server Administrator from 2012 to 2013, Field Technical Support from 2011 to 2012, Exchange Administrator from 2008 to 2011, Pharmaceutical Sales Representative from 2007 to 2008, and Senior Desktop Support Technician from 2004 to 2007.

To start their career, Carl worked at The Hanover Insurance Group as a PC Services Consultant and Senior Desktop Technician from 2002 to 2004, and a Technology Service Center Analyst from 2000 to 2002.

Carl Palmer has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with a focus on Business Management and Information Systems from Nichols College, which they obtained in 2002. Carl also completed the Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 MSCE program with A+ from Clark University in 2000, specializing in Windows Administration.

In terms of additional training, Carl received Adobe Captivate 5.0 Training from nSight Inc. in 2011. Carl also obtained technical certifications from Knowledge Advisors in 2010 for Exchange 2010 Configuring, Managing and Troubleshooting (10135A), and from New Horizons in 2008 for Exchange 2003 Implementing and Managing (2400C) as well as Managing a Microsoft Windows Server (2274). Furthermore, they completed the Certified HelpDesk Professional (CHDP) program from STI Knowledge/Zavanta Corporation in 2006 and the Microsoft XP Deployment and Support course from Pinnacle Training Corporation in 2005.

In addition to their formal education and training, Carl has obtained several certifications. Carl received the FTK (Forensic Tool Kit) certification from AccessData in March 2021, the CCFE (Certified Computer Forensics Examiner) certification from IACRB in December 2020, and the GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC) from GIAC in October 2016.
