Danny Harris

Director, Application Security - Devsecops at Rite Aid

Danny Harris has extensive work experience in various roles related to application security and information technology. Danny currently works as the Director of Application Security - DevSecOps at RITE AID. Prior to this, they held the position of SDLC Center of Excellence Technical Lead and Senior Security Consultant & Instructor at Security Innovation. Danny also worked as an Instructor at the Women's Institute of Torah Seminary & College (WITS).

In the past, Danny worked at Aon as the Application Security Software Development Lifecycle and Training Manager, where they established a Secure Software Development Lifecycle framework and developed role-based global coursework for application security education. Danny also served as the Manager of Information Security Policy, where they authored comprehensive information security policies and standards.

Before their time at Aon, Danny worked as an Adjunct Professor at Wilbur Wright College, where they developed and taught courses on computer security and forensic investigation. Danny also worked as an Instructor at the SANS Institute.

Earlier in their career, Danny held positions at Alexander and Alexander, Potomac Scheduling Communications Company, Peerless Instrument Company, Inc., and Quantachrome Corporation, where they gained experience in software engineering and development.

Danny Harris attended Penn State University from 1978 to 1982, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences.
