Jeff Schares, MBA has extensive work experience in the retail industry. Jeff started their career as a District Manager at Brooks Pharmacy in 2001 and worked there until 2006. At Brooks Pharmacy, they gained valuable experience in managing district operations.
In 2006, Jeff joined RITE AID as a District Manager in Boston and Greater Providence, RI. During their time there, they were selected as part of the Culture Change Committee and successfully implemented the Business Scorecard initiative, resulting in improved key performance indicators.
In 2011, they were promoted to Regional Vice President for the Northeast region, where they provided P&L oversight and led a team to achieve sales goals and improve clinical services and service standards.
In 2020, Jeff became the Division Retail Vice President at RITE AID, leading regional stores through the ongoing changes caused by COVID-19 and ensuring a safe environment for customers and associates. Jeff successfully integrated 8 Region Retail Leaders through an advertising campaign focused on millennials and Gen X women, showcasing RITE AID's commitment to providing traditional medicine and alternative remedies to improve health.
In 2022, Jeff was promoted to Division Vice President of Operations Transformation at RITE AID. Their role involved implementing strategic initiatives for business transformation.
Currently, Jeff holds the position of Vice President of Retail Strategic Initiatives at RITE AID, where they continue to drive strategic initiatives for the company's retail division.
Jeff Schares, MBA, earned their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management from Western New England University, graduating in 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Management and Marketing from Wartburg College, completing their undergraduate education in 1987.
