Kim Baenisch

Chief of Staff at Ritter Center

Kim Baenisch is currently the Chief of Staff at the Ritter Center. Prior to that, they were a Consultant from April 2019 to June 2022, where they were responsible for creating structure and process where none exists. Kim is passionate about strategic planning, systems development, and project implementation by high-performing teams.

From September 2014 to March 2019, Kim served as the Executive Director of Trips For Kids Marin. In this role, they were responsible for leading the Founder transition and re-branding change management. Kim also created the organization's first-ever Strategic Plan, which outlined achievable goals and led to desired outcomes. Additionally, they developed and implemented an organizational design process that launched a new non-profit to support a national chapter network with a $500,000 start-up budget. As the organizational spokesperson, they developed trusted relationships with new and existing donors and community partners to increase the impact of youth programming.

Under their leadership, the staff of 22 refined and implemented programs for 2,000 Bay Area youth annually. Kim also introduced relevant human resources, updated operating systems for efficiency and youth programs’ curriculum for effectiveness, while providing leadership development to program managers. Finally, they modernized the organization's branding, fundraising and programs.

Kim Baenisch attended Cornell University, where they earned a BS in landscape architecture.

They are on a team with Heather Groninger - Human Resources Director, Jessica Hansen - Interim Director of Development, and Saima Firdoos - Chief Medical Officer. Their manager is Mark Shotwell, Executive Director.
