Kevin Owen is the Co-Founder and Chief Architect of Rivanna Medical since 2010. Kevin later worked as the Vice-President of Engineering at TeeGee, LLC from 2011 to 2012, where they developed software and hardware for an iPhone-based child's plush toy. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Research Scientist at PocketSonics, Inc. from 2008 to 2011. Kevin also has experience as a Senior Software Engineer at GE Fanuc from 2004 to 2005, a Systems Architect at Advanced Simulation Technology Inc. from 2000 to 2004, a Senior Software Engineer at Cronus Communications/Fastcomm in 2000, a Senior Software Engineer at B. Gaming Technology from 1998 to 1999, and a Software Engineer at Barcrest Games from 1992 to 1995.
Kevin Owen has a strong education background in the field of engineering and biomedical engineering. Kevin first attended the University of Lancaster in the United Kingdom from 1992 to 1997, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Engineering Physics. Afterward, they pursued further education and completed a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in DSP and Applications in Communication Systems from the same institution in 1997-1998. Kevin's academic journey continued at the University of Virginia, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biomedical Engineering from 2005 to 2012.
