Simon Pakenham-Walsh

Simon Pakenham-Walsh currently serves as the Chief Information Officer at River Island, a position held since March 2024. Prior to this, Simon held various leadership roles in technology, including Vice President of Consumer Technology at Wolverine Worldwide and Chief Technology Officer at Sweaty Betty. As Digital and Retail Technology Director at Arcadia Group, Simon was instrumental in leading digital transformation for multiple international brands, including Topshop and Dorothy Perkins. Experience also includes serving as CIO for Sainsbury's Food, where Simon was accountable for technology strategy and service. Simon's career began at IBM and includes significant positions at Sky, Royal Mail, and Detica, demonstrating a strong background in project and programme management. Simon holds a BA Hons 2:1 in Management Studies with French from the University of Nottingham.
