Ignacio Villarroel

Ignacio Villarroel has extensive experience in leadership roles within the sports and legal sectors. Currently serving as Vicepresidente Segundo and Secretario General at Club Atlético River Plate since December 2017, Ignacio also holds the position of Vocal Titular at the same club since December 2013. Ignacio's previous role as Presidente of Fundación River Plate from June 2016 to December 2021 and as Presidente del Departamento de Asuntos Legales at Club Atlético River Plate from February 2014 to December 2021 showcases a strong commitment to the organization. Additionally, Ignacio has been a partner at Lopez Saavedra & Villarroel since 1995. Ignacio obtained a degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina 'Santa María de los Buenos Aires'​, where studies were completed from 1992 to 1998.
