Mike Doherty

Mike Doherty has a diverse and extensive work experience. Mike worked at Riverford Organic Farmers as a Technology Director, Head of Systems and Engineering, and Head of (Software) Engineering. Their responsibilities included managing technology and innovation roadmaps, cyber security, logistics, IT support, warehouse automation, business intelligence, and IT infrastructure. Mike also spearheaded software development investments and implemented new technology solutions for customer growth and improved profitability.

Prior to that, they worked at the United Kingdom Hydrographic Office as a Technical Lead, where they revitalized a failing project team and successfully delivered a key project. Mike also served as a Senior Software Developer.

Mike founded and served as the Director of Doherty Software Consulting Limited from 2006 to 2016. Mike also worked as a Senior Web Developer at BMT Defence Services Ltd, Java Software Engineer at Hewlett-Packard, Senior Developer at Star Technology Services Ltd., and Senior Developer at Macquarie Bank.

Mike started their career as a Technical Lead at Doctor Communication Solutions, Development Team Lead at Profund, and Software Engineer at Hewlett-Packard. Throughout their career, Mike has demonstrated strong leadership, technical expertise, and a track record of successful project delivery.

Mike Doherty completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mathematics at the University of Leeds. Mike studied at the university from 1996 to 1999.
