Claudio Padres is an accomplished civil engineer with extensive experience in flood control and water conservation. Currently serving as the Assistant Chief Engineer and Chief of Design and Construction at the Riverside County Flood Control and Water Conservation District since July 2003, Claudio oversees the Design and Construction Division, managing an annual Capital Improvement Program budget of approximately $80 million. Previously, as an Engineering Project Manager, responsibilities included supervising a team for the design and preparation of construction drawings for around $30 million in flood risk reduction projects. Claudio also served as a Lecturer at California State Polytechnic University-Pomona from 2007 to 2014, teaching Civil Engineering courses in Hydraulics and Elementary Surveying. Claudio holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, obtained in 2003.
