Robert Taylor, MBA

Robert Taylor, MBA has extensive work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Robert currently serves as the Board Vice President at the Virginia Telecommunications Industry Association since November 2019. In March 2021, they also became a Board Member for the SOUTHERN PIEDMONT TECHNOLOGY COUNCIL.

Prior to these positions, Taylor held the role of Director of Business Development & Government Affairs at RiverStreet Networks starting in November 2018. Robert has also served as the CEO of Gamewood Technology Group, Inc. from January 2009 to November 2018. Before that, they worked at Gamewood, Inc., where they held the positions of COO from January 2007 to December 2008 and Director of Telecom & Networking Services from June 2003 to December 2006.

Taylor has also gained entrepreneurial experience as the Owner of Able Telecom and Electronics, Inc. from March 1996 to June 2003. Earlier in their career, they worked at Sara Lee Knit Products, where they held multiple roles including Project Manager, Supply Manager, and Logistics Manager from November 1992 to March 1996.

Taylor started their professional journey as an Armor Officer in the U.S. Army from November 1988 to November 1992. Their diverse background in leadership, business development, and technology positions him as a valuable asset in various industries.

Robert Taylor, MBA, obtained their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from Virginia Military Institute. Robert studied history as their major and psychology as their minor during the period of 1984 to 1988.
