Huaxin Gong

Huaxin Gong is a Senior Cell Design Engineer at Rivian, with a background that includes a recent role as a Senior Cathode Engineer at Gotion Inc., where the focus was on the cell design and development of next-generation LMFP batteries. Prior to this, Huaxin served as a Research Assistant in the Zhenan Bao Group at Stanford University, specializing in nanostructured carbon materials and batteries. Significant contributions included the synthesis of advanced materials for Li-S batteries, the development of stable fast-charging Li metal anodes, and the creation of high-capacitance supercapacitors. Huaxin possesses extensive hands-on experience in materials synthesis and characterization techniques. Educationally, Huaxin holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Engineering from Zhejiang University.
