Jimmy Knauf

EVP, Facilities at Rivian

Jimmy Knauf is currently the EVP of Facilities at Rivian. Jimmy was previously an advisor at an LA based real estate start-up from March 2018 to March 2021. Prior to that, they were the Senior Director of Global Facilities at Tesla from December 2014 to March 2018 where they oversaw real estate, design, construction, and operations for workplace, production facilities, and retail development globally. Before Tesla, Jimmy worked at DreamWorks Animation from June 2009 to November 2014 where they were the Director of Global Facilities and Corporate Security. In this role, they oversaw facility operations and corporate security at DreamWorks Animation's global facilities including locations in the US, UK, China, and India. Jimmy also managed several high-profile projects, including the consolidation of DreamWorks Animation's NYC office (20,000 square feet), the relocation of their London office (15,000 square feet), the expansion of Big Idea Entertainment's Nashville office (7,000 square feet), the startup of DreamWorks Animation's TV division (200,000 square feet), and the development of the DreamCenter Shanghai (3.5 million square feet). Prior to DreamWorks Animation, Jimmy worked as a Project Manager at Tectonics Construction, Inc. from March 2006 to May 2009.

Jimmy Knauf has a bachelor's degree in construction management from the California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.

Jimmy Knauf reports to RJ Scaringe, Founder & CEO. They work with Helen Russell - Chief People Officer, Claire McDonough - CFO, and Charles Sanderson - Chief Engineer.
