Oscar Tan

Oscar Tan is a skilled engineer with extensive experience in mechanical and battery design engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Battery Design Engineer at Rivian since October 2025, Oscar previously held the position of Senior Mechanical Engineer for high voltage battery packs at Meyers Manx from May 2023 to September 2025. Oscar’s expertise includes vehicle packaging, battery pack design, and thermal line routing, complemented by proficiency in CAD software such as Siemens NX and CATIA V6. Before these roles, Oscar worked at Rivian as a Senior Mechanical Engineer focusing on body exteriors and held positions at Honda R&D Americas as a Mechanical Design Engineer. Oscar holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a specialization in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
