Mikael Herlevsen

Mikael Herlevsen has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Mikael is currently working as the Director of IP at Rivus Pharmaceuticals since April 2019. Prior to this, they were the Director of IP at Gencia Corporation from November 2010 to March 2019.

Before transitioning into the pharmaceutical industry, Mikael worked at the University of Virginia Patent Foundation as a Licensing Associate from April 2007 to November 2010. Mikael also held positions at the University of Virginia, where they worked as a Research Instructor from September 2004 to April 2007 and as a Postdoctoral Fellow from September 2001 to September 2004.

Mikael began their career in research as a Graduate Student at the dkfz - German Cancer Research Center from 1997 to 2001. Overall, Mikael's work experience showcases their expertise and progression in the intellectual property and pharmaceutical industry.

Mikael Herlevsen completed their education with a PhD in Cancer Cell Biology from the German Cancer Research Center, which they pursued between 1997 and 2001. Prior to that, they obtained their MSc in Biology and Chemistry from Lund University, where they attended from 1992 to 1997.
