Naif Alghaith

Naif Alghaith, PhD, serves as the Chief Economist at Riyad Bank since October 2021 and previously led the G20 finance track program from September 2019 to December 2021. Alghaith has extensive experience at the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority, where roles included Director of Monetary Policy and Financial Stability and Economic Specialist. Additional experience includes advising at the World Bank Group and providing instruction as an Economics Tutor at Swansea University. Alghaith began a career in finance as an Accountant at Saudi Investment Bank and has also worked in various capacities including a financial reporter at Alghaith Corporation and an accounting intern at Ernst & Young. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Financial Economics from Swansea University, an MA in Economics from the University at Buffalo, and a B.Sc. in Accounting from King Saud University.
