Samy Alshaer

Samy Alshaer, CDMP, IDPP, GRCP, GRCA, PMP, currently serves as the Head of Data & Information Governance at Riyad Bank since August 2023. Previously, Samy held the position of Data Management & Governance Manager at HSBC Saudi Arabia from September 2021 to July 2023. Additionally, Samy worked as a Projects Manager at Sawaeed for a brief period in July 2021 and as a Data Quality Manager at Maximus from November 2017 to June 2021. Samy also served as a Data Quality Manager and Senior Business Analyst at PeoplePlus KSA from March 2014 to November 2017. Early in the career, Samy worked as an MIS officer at Mishaal Construction Est from May 2013 to March 2014. Samy's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer Science from Northumbria University, obtained from 2009 to 2013, and a foundation degree in business and computer sciences from Newcastle College in 2009.
