Yigit Isbiliroglu has extensive work experience, primarily in the field of structural engineering. Yigit started their career as a Graduate Research Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University from August 2009 to September 2013. After that, they worked at RIZZO International, Inc. as a Project Engineer from October 2013 to February 2019. During this time, they evaluated seismic fragility parameters of structural systems and mechanical/electrical equipment in Nuclear Power Plants (NPPs) and conducted structural response analyses. From February 2019 to June 2022, Yigit served as the Director of Engineering at RIZZO International, Inc., leading multi-million dollar international projects. Their responsibilities included developing fully verified coupled models, performing seismic analysis, and carrying out comprehensive verifications of safety-relevant structures, systems, and components in NPPs. In June 2022, they were promoted to Vice President of Structural Engineering at the same company.

Yigit Isbiliroglu completed their education in Civil Engineering. Yigit obtained a Bachelor's degree from Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi / Middle East Technical University, where they studied from 2004 to 2009. Yigit then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Civil Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, which they completed from 2009 to 2013.

In addition to their educational achievements, Yigit Isbiliroglu received certification as a California-Licensed Professional Engineer from the California Board for Professional Engineers in December 2015.
