John Gourvelos

John Gourvelos has over 36 years of experience in various IT and operations roles. John'smost recent position was as the Head of Operations - Asia Pacific at RM plc, where they were responsible for leading the implementation of the Global Operations strategy across the APAC region. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Operations at the South West Alliance of Rural Health (Vic), overseeing the support and strategic direction of infrastructure, service desk, and customer engagement services. John has also held roles such as Operations Manager at Dimension Data, Manager of IT Service Delivery at Bendigo and Adelaide Bank, and Asia Pacific Operations Manager at Ajilon Managed Services (AMS). Throughout their career, they have achieved notable successes, including successfully restructuring teams, implementing countermeasures for cyber attacks, and improving service efficiencies.

John Gourvelos has a diverse education history spanning various fields. In 1984-1985, they obtained a Certificate of Technology from RMIT University. In 1996, they earned a Diploma in Advanced Management from the Australian Institute of Management, specializing in Operations Management and Supervision. Throughout their career, John has acquired several certifications related to Information Technology, including ITIL Version 3 Certification in 2013 and ITIL 2 Fundamentals Certification in 2005. John also obtained a Prince 2 Certification from Shell Australia in 1999. In 2011, they received a certificate in LEAN Methodologies Version 3 in the field of Information Technology. John'smore recent certifications include a Certificate in Leading Safe Course 4.5 from Pretty Agile in 2018 and a Cyber Security Foundation Certificate from ALC in the same year.
