Lauren Skelly

Lauren Skelly, EIT, is a mechanical design engineer currently employed at RMF Engineering, Inc. since April 2024. Previous experience includes roles as a mechanical engineer at Specialized Engineering Solutions, Inc., and as a junior mechanical designer at McKnight Smith Ward Griffin Engineers. Lauren began the career as a mechanical engineer with Blauch Brothers Inc. Mechanical Contractors and previously worked as a mechanical design engineer with Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. During the undergraduate studies at Virginia Tech, Lauren led a senior design project focused on creating a human-powered mung bean splitter and served as an undergraduate assistant. Additional experience includes an internship at WileyWilson, evaluating modeling software, and teaching driving techniques as a driving instructor at Camp Motorsport, along with early work at McDonald's Corporation. Lauren holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech.
