Russell Ferris is an accomplished leader in the horseracing and agricultural sectors with extensive experience in executive management. Currently serving as the Managing Director at Racecourse Media Group since August 2025, Ferris previously held the position of Chief Executive at Weatherbys Ltd from June 2016 to August 2025, overseeing a diverse portfolio in regulatory, commercial, and genomic testing services. Additional roles include Chief Executive of the Weatherbys General Stud Book and Operations Director at At The Races, where significant contributions were made to broadcasting horseracing events across the UK and Ireland. Prior experience includes managing Limerick Racecourse and leading Scarvagh House Stud, a prominent National Hunt Stud Farm. Russell Ferris holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Communication, Change Management from Queen's University Belfast and a Bachelor of Agriculture from Queens University.
