Christos Mitas began their career in 2003 as an Assistant Scientist at the University of Miami, where they worked until 2006. In 2006, they transitioned to RMS, starting as a Senior Catastrophe Risk Modeler and progressing to roles such as Lead Catastrophe Risk Modeler, Director of Model Development, Senior Director of Model Development, and ultimately Vice President of Model Development in May 2016.
Christos Mitas earned a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) in 1993. Christos then went on to obtain a Master's degree in Atmospheric Science from the University of Wyoming in 1997 before completing their PhD in Atmospheric Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2003. Christos also completed the "Leading Strategic Growth: Executive Education Program with Columbia Business School and Execonline, Inc." from Columbia Business School.
