Upkar Singh

Upkar Singh has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several positions and companies. Most recently, they joined RMSI in 2021 as the VP of IT. Prior to this, from 2012 to 2021, they held the position of Director IT at FIS (formerly Clear2Pay), where they played a crucial role as a Change Agent for IT growth initiatives, IT strategy, and M&A integration. Upkar facilitated growth through technology and corporate IT strategic planning of global initiatives.

Before FIS, Upkar Singh worked as a Data Centre Manager at Delhi Integrated Multi Modal Transit System Ltd. (DIMTS) from 2011 to 2012. Upkar'srole involved driving digital growth and strategy for the e-Enablement of urban transport systems in Delhi.

From 2010 to 2011, Upkar Singh served as an IT Manager at Espire Infolabs Pvt Ltd, where they maintained team momentum and morale throughout growth and consolidation. Upkar initiated the DevOps capabilities of deployment and infra services, resulting in improved IT support to projects and reduced project delivery time.

Prior to that, from 2008 to 2010, they held the position of IT Manager at Empxtrack. Here, they managed and implemented projects related to SaaS-based software products for clients. Upkar also spearheaded the deployment of the Remote Management Services platform, resulting in significant savings in onsite labor.

From 2007 to 2008, Upkar Singh worked as an EDP Manager at Flemingo Duty Free Shops Pvt Ltd. Upkar played a pivotal role in eBusiness process re-organization and enabling vigilance function to control inventory shrinkage. Upkar also led corporate strategic planning and initiatives that resulted in cost savings and operational efficiency.

Upkar'sprofessional journey began in 1996 as a System Manager at T. W. Exports Pvt. Ltd., where they developed and managed the IT department from inception and custom ERP for efficient order processing. Upkar led IT infrastructure improvements, systems implementations, and software development, ultimately designing and developing a custom ERP system.

Throughout their career, Upkar Singh has proven their expertise in IT leadership, strategic planning, project management, and driving digital transformation.

Upkar Singh's education history is as follows:

Upkar Singh completed a Certificate Programme on Digital Strategies at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad in 2023. In 2022, Singh pursued an Advanced Certificate Programme on Digital Innovation & Transformation for Enterprises at the All India Management Association. Additionally, Singh holds a Leader Excellence Certified Leader credential from Leaders Excellence at Harvard Square, which was obtained from 2020 to 2021.

Prior to these programs, Singh obtained an MBA degree in Information Technology from Punjab Technical University, from 2008 to 2010. Singh also completed an Advance Course on Oracle, C, and Unix at STG in 1997, and a Diploma in Information and System Management at Aptech Learning from 1991 to 1994. Singh's undergraduate degree is a B.Sc in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from Sambalpur University, completed from 1988 to 1991.

In addition to formal education, Singh has obtained several certifications including DNS for Security Practitioners from Infoblox in 2022, Certified DevOps Associate from Cloud Train in 2021, and The White Belt for Data Center Standards - Technologies - Operation Management from the Uptime Institute in 2021. Singh has also completed various other certifications in fields such as strategic leadership, cybersecurity, AI and ML, energy management, and IT management throughout the years. Furthermore, Singh holds several Microsoft certifications, including MCP, MCSA, MCSA (Messaging), and MCSE, that were obtained in September 2005.
