Rogers Cristo

Rogers Cristo has a long and varied work experience. In 2009, they worked as a Maintenance Assistant at Hospital Estadual Américo Brasiliense, where they provided electrical and mechanical maintenance support in the hospital air-conditioning systems. In 2011, they worked as an Intern at Fortelab Ind. de Fornos Elétricos, where they designed high temperature electrical ovens, electrical/electronic circuitry, and 3D mechanical design using Solidworks. That same year, they also worked as a Summer Intern at ZF Sachs Automotive of America, Inc. In 2012, they worked as an Intern at Volkswagen do Brasil, where they were involved in maintenance planning and a project focused on developing solutions to reduce costs in the compressed air system. In 2013, they worked as a Trainee at AES Tietê, where they were involved in a refurbishment project regarding the main systems from a hydroelectric power plant, and as a Production Assistant at Embraer. From 2016 to 2018, they worked at Banco Itaú as a Lead Data Scientist, Senior Data Scientist, and Data Scientist. Their roles included Product Owner of the Content Management System Squad, Research and development of word embeddings, Technical leader of the Chatbot's Memory-enabled Dialog Management System Project, and Front-end and back-end development of a web system applied to chatbot message's data annotation. Since 2022, they have been working as a Senior Data Scientist at Roamler.

Rogers Cristo has an extensive educational background. In 2008, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Universidade Paulista. In 2020, they completed a Nanodegree in Deep Learning from Udacity. Currently, they are pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science and Computacional Mathematics from USP - Universidade de São Paulo, which they are expected to complete in 2024.
