Caroline Grootenboer

Caroline Grootenboer has extensive work experience in various roles throughout their career. Caroline started their professional journey as an Editorial Assistant at Erasmus Publishing from May 1996 to September 1998. Caroline'sresponsibilities included supporting the project manager, maintaining contacts with sponsors and authors, proofreading, correcting galleys, and maintaining contact with book sellers.

Caroline then joined Generale Bank as a Translator from October 1998 to August 1999. In this role, Caroline translated financial/economic texts from Dutch into English and vice versa. Caroline also maintained internal and external contacts regarding the supply of translations.

Caroline's next role was with Robeco, where they held two positions. From September 1999 to May 2012, they worked as a Senior Translator for the company. Caroline'sresponsibilities included translating financial/economic texts from English into Dutch and vice versa, reviewing and editing Dutch and English texts, and managing traffic for multilingual publications.

From June 2012 onwards, Caroline served as a Senior RfP Writer at Robeco. In this position, they gathered, analyzed, restructured, and rewrote complex information to prepare responses to requests for proposals (RfPs) and requests for information (RfIs) from clients, prospects, and consultants. Caroline customized proposals for distinct client needs and market segments, collaborating with various teams within the organization to translate investment concepts into understandable, benefits-oriented RfPs.

Caroline Grootenboer began their education by obtaining a Havo degree in senior general secondary education from Openbare Scholengemeenschap Gemini, Ridderkerk, from 1983 to 1989. Caroline then pursued a preliminary exam in English/history teaching at Hogeschool Rotterdam & Omstreken from 1989 to 1990. Later on, they attended Leiden University from 1991 to 1998, where they successfully completed their Master's degree in English language and literature. Furthermore, they furthered their education by pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Spanish translation from Hogeschool West-Nederland from 2003 to 2007.
