Edwin van der Burg

Edwin van der Burg started their work experience in 2004 as a Sales Manager at Kisuma. From 2004 to 2005, they worked as a Duty Manager at Forever Resorts. In 2007, they had multiple project roles at Jufidet, ABN AMRO, and ING Investment Management. Edwin then joined ING as an Auditor from 2008 to 2011, focusing on processes within the global investment management company. At Hyva, they worked as a Group Internal Auditor from 2011 to 2013, actively involved in setting up the audit function. From 2013 to 2022, Edwin worked at LyondellBasell in various audit roles, including Senior Auditor, Lead Auditor, Senior Lead Auditor, and Internal Audit Manager. Currently, they are a Senior Audit Manager at Robeco starting from 2022.

Edwin van der Burg has a diverse educational background. Edwin obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in International Hospitality Management from Christelijke Hogeschool Nederland, which they pursued from 2001 to 2005. Following this, they enrolled at Nyenrode Business University, where they completed a Master's degree in Financial Management between 2005 and 2007. Later, Edwin attended the University of Amsterdam from 2008 to 2010, where they studied Internal Auditing and earned a degree known as EMIA.

In addition to their formal education, Edwin has also obtained various certifications throughout their career. In 2012, they became a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. Four years later, in 2016, they earned the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) credential from ISACA. Most recently, in January 2022, Edwin obtained the Process Mining Audit Professional certification from Celonis.
