Jean-Paul van Brakel

Jean-Paul van Brakel, CFA has work experience that includes being a PhD Candidate in Finance at Erasmus Research Institute of Management (ERIM) since September 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Robeco as a Quantitative Researcher, where they researched, designed, and built quantitative investment strategies for equities within the Sustainable Index Solutions team. Jean-Paul'smain areas of focus were index construction, numerical optimization, index rebalancing, risk management, and sustainability integration. Jean-Paul also had a role as a Graduate Intern at Robeco, where they wrote their Master thesis as part of the Super Quant internship. Additionally, Jean-Paul served as the Chairman of the UN Global Compact Young Professionals Program at Global Compact Network Netherlands from August 2020 to September 2021.

Jean-Paul van Brakel, CFA has a diverse education history that spans from high school to advanced workshops and degrees. Jean-Paul completed their high school education at Revius Lyceum Doorn, specializing in VWO - Natural Sciences, from 2009 to 2012.
