Grant Weir

Grant joined the Robert Bird Group in 1986 as a graduate engineer. Since joining the company Grant has not only built on his engineering knowledge and skills but also in the areas of project, people and business management, and fostering strong client relationships. This has seen Grant placed in key leadership roles such as Managing Director of Australian Operations, Deputy Chairman and Director on the Board.

On the engineering front Grant brings extensive knowledge and experience in the design of structural steelwork, reinforced and pre-stressed concrete, resulting in a keen ability to develop innovative and cost effective design solutions on complex projects; areas in which he is well recognised for within the Robert Bird Group and with clients.

Leveraging Grant’s extensive business development and technical skills, we now see him stepping into a global role as Joint Opportunities Managing Director. Not only will his focus be on Robert Bird Group clients and projects but also in coordinating joint opportunities with the Surbana Jurong ANZ portfolio of brands.
