James Killen

James Killen is the current Principal of Australia North Region at Robert Bird Group. James has over 25 years of experience in the engineering industry, working on a variety of commercial, retail, and residential projects.

James started their career as a Structural Design Engineer at Hughes Trueman Reinhold Consulting Engineers in 1994. James worked in both the Gladstone and Brisbane offices for six years before moving to Meinhardt Group in 2000. At Meinhardt, James worked their way up to Technical Director over the course of seven years. In 2007, James joined Robert Bird Group, where they have been Principal of Australia North Region for over 10 years.

During their career, James has gained a wealth of experience in all aspects of engineering design and construction. James is a highly respected engineer and a valuable asset to Robert Bird Group.

James Killen studied civil engineering at the University of Southern Queensland and obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree.

Their manager is Jason Beutel, CEO. James Killen works with Justin Hettinga - Principal, Australia Southern Region, Lilli Fender - Global Brand & Communications Manager, and George Andrianakos - General Manage, Sydney.
