Scot Mitchell

Scot Mitchell has an extensive work experience in the healthcare industry, with a focus on executive leadership and rural healthcare. Scot started their career as a Hospital Administrator at Summers County ARH and later served as the Chief Executive Officer for several organizations such as Appalachian Regional Healthcare and Partners in Health Network. Scot Mitchell also worked as a Chief Executive Officer at Man Community Hospital and Cordova Community Medical Center. Scot served as the Senior Vice President at Western Healthcare Alliance, managing daily operations and negotiating contracts for multiple insurance coverages and supply chain services. Scot Mitchell is currently working as the Chief Executive Officer at the Robert C. Byrd Clinic, a comprehensive not-for-profit healthcare organization committed to providing quality primary health care. Throughout their career, Scot Mitchell has demonstrated expertise in improving financial performance, modernizing facilities, and developing strategies to navigate the changing healthcare landscape.

Scot Mitchell obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Concord University, where they studied from 1983 to 1985. Following this, they attended the Medical University of South Carolina from 1988 to 1991, earning a Master of Healthcare Administration degree with a focus on Healthcare Administration.

In addition to their formal education, Scot Mitchell has obtained certifications in their field. Scot holds a Nursing Home Administrator License from the State of Alaska, obtained in 2016. Scot also holds a Nursing Home Administrator License from the Montana Board of Nursing Home Administrators, obtained in 2004. Furthermore, they are a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
