Andres Torres has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Andres started their career as the Director of Community Outreach at the Chicago Office of Tourism and Culture, where they managed partnerships and designed communication strategies to enhance Chicago's cultural sector. After that, they worked as a Research and Communications Advisor for Farrells, contributing to an independent report commissioned by the UK Department of Culture, Media, and Sport. Andres then started their own independent consultancy, where they advised clients in the nonprofit, government, and private sectors on policy development and communications strategies.

In 2015, Torres joined the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning as part of the Regional Planning & Policy team, where they engaged with leaders, stakeholders, and residents to promote long-term economic growth through strategic transportation and land use policy.
