Joe Armstrong serves as the Chief Engineer at The Woodruff Arts Center since March 2022. Previously, Joe held the position of Chief Engineer at Cousins Properties Incorporated from January 2015 to March 2022 and at Cushman & Wakefield from October 2012 to January 2015. Joe started a career in engineering at Compass Management/Jones Lang LaSalle and Atlanta Market Center Management Co, progressing through various roles including Engineer I and Engineer II & III. Joe's extensive experience encompasses budget preparation, contract negotiation, preventive maintenance program implementation, and oversight of engineering personnel and operations involving complex mechanical systems such as chillers, generators, and HVAC systems.

Woodruff Arts Center is a visual and performing arts center located in Atlanta, Georgia. The center houses three not-for-profit arts divisions on one campus. Opened in 1968, the Woodruff Arts Center is home to the Alliance Theatre, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and the High Museum of Art.
