Katie Corbit

Katie Corbit, program associate, joined the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) in 2022. Her work supports the Foundation’s efforts in collaborating with an array of partners to ensure that conditions in communities allow all residents to reach their best possible health and well-being. Drawn to RWJF by its focus on working with others to build a Culture of Health, she helps implement and manage programs that support health and racial equity and address structural racism.

Previously, Katie served as a center manager with the Detroit Urban Research Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. In this role, she worked collaboratively with community and academic partners to manage ongoing research projects and assisted with fundraising and development activities. Earlier, she was the director of program monitoring and evaluation and director of maternal child health for the YWCA Kalamazoo in Michigan. In this role, she addressed racial disparities in infant mortality and a multi-sectoral approach to addressing population health. She also held research positions with the Western Michigan University Homer Stryker, M.D. School of Medicine and University of Michigan School of Public Health.

Katie earned her MPH and BA from the University of Michigan. She is also a recipient of the University of Michigan Martin Luther King Jr. Spirit Award.
