Laura Chan

Laura Chan is the Vice President at Roberts & Ryan Investments. Laura has previous experience working in the U.S. Navy Reserve, United States Merchant Marine Academy, and Military Sealift Command.

Chan graduated from the United States Merchant Marine Academy in 2017 with a degree in Strategic Sealift Officer (SSO) Program Liaison & Instructor of Naval Science. Laura then went on to work as an Operations Officer for the Military Sealift Command from 2018 to 2019. In 2010, Chan began working as an Operational Support Officer & Merchant Marine Reserve (MMR) Liaison for the Military Sealift Command, a position they held until 2012. Prior to their work in the military, Chan was a Tanker Operator for Maersk Broker from 2008 to 2009.

Roberts & Ryan Investments is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned (SDVO) Broker-Dealer with execution capabilities in the capital markets, equities and fixed-income trading. The firm was founded in 1987 by a United States Marine Corps Vietnam Combat Veteran and Purple Heart recipient. It is one of America’s first SDVO Broker-Dealer.

Roberts & Ryan engages in underwriting, trading of corporate municipal and agency mortgage debt as well as, equity agency trade execution, stock buybacks, and equity underwriting.

The majority of the firm’s employees are veterans. The firm is active in donating to charitable foundations that make significant positive impacts in the lives of veterans and their families. Roberts & Ryan will directly support veteran-focused charitable organizations that are best positioned to aid the veteran community.

Laura Chan graduated from the United States Merchant Marine Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree and a Third Mates License in Logistics & Intermodal Transportation.
