Medical Scribe at Robin Healthcare

Mindy Foster, M.S. started their work experience as a Student Researcher at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2019. During this role, they successfully graduated from the Science and Technology Honors Program and conducted a thesis project on "daf-16 mutant Caenorhabditis elegans males display loss of sex-specific longevity advantage over daf-16 mutant hermaphrodites." Mindy worked under the direction of Drs. Steve Austad and Ashley Turner and gained experience in designing gene knockouts using CRISPR/Cas9, guide RNA synthesis, polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, PCR, and generating male lines of C. elegans.

In 2021, Mindy joined Robin Healthcare as a Medical Scribe, where they currently work.

In 2022, Mindy also started their role as a Scientific Researcher at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Mindy Foster, M.S. pursued their education in the field of biomedical sciences and genetics. Mindy began their academic journey in 2017 at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where they obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Genetics and Genomic Sciences in 2021. Continuing their educational pursuits, Mindy successfully completed their Master's degree in Multidisciplinary Biomedical Sciences at the same university from 2019 to 2021.
